Other support for carers

As well as financial help, you may be able to access other types of support. This could include getting someone to help look after your relative while you take a break (respite care).

For more information about the types of support available to you, go to your state and territory Carer Association, or phone Carers Australia on 1800 242 636.

You can also check out the Australian Government’s Carer Gateway, a national online and phone service providing practical information to support all carers.
